We have written this page to be read, not hidden behind legal jargon. If a mandatory law gives you stronger rights than this page, that law takes priority.

1. Who we are

Anivo Technologies Ltd is the organisation responsible for the Anivo website and product. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 16712009.

For questions, requests or complaints about personal information, email support@anivoapp.com. Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies when you visit anivoapp.com, create an Anivo account, use Anivo Desktop, buy a plan or credit package, contact support or otherwise interact with us.

When you use Anivo to research or contact businesses, you may be responsible for deciding how the personal information in your own workspace is used. Section 12 explains that responsibility.

3. Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably needed to provide, secure and improve Anivo. This may include:

  • Account information, such as your name, email address, authentication method, account identifiers and organisation details.
  • Subscription and credit information, including your plan, credit balance, credit events, billing status and purchase history.
  • Payment and transaction information processed through Stripe. We do not store your full payment-card number.
  • Product and workspace information that you choose to enter, import, research, generate or connect to a cloud-enabled feature.
  • Support communications, feedback and any files or screenshots you choose to send us.
  • Technical and security information, such as IP address, device or operating-system details, app version, login events, error records and limited feature-usage events.
  • Website information collected through essential cookies, browser storage and similar technology needed for account sessions and security.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and secure your account, keep you signed in and connect the website to Anivo Desktop;
  • provide research, CRM, campaign, inbox, AI-assisted writing and related product features that you choose to use;
  • manage plans, credits, purchases, invoices, refunds and fraud prevention;
  • answer support, privacy and security requests;
  • maintain service reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse and protect users;
  • understand product performance and improve Anivo using proportionate usage information;
  • send essential account, security, billing and service messages;
  • meet legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations; and
  • send marketing only where allowed, with a clear way to opt out.

5. Our legal bases

Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on the legal basis that fits the activity. This is usually performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Anivo, your consent where required, or compliance with a legal obligation.

Our legitimate interests include preventing fraud, protecting accounts, improving product reliability, supporting customers and communicating with businesses about Anivo in a proportionate way. We consider the effect on individual rights before relying on this basis.

6. Local-first desktop data

Anivo Desktop is designed so that core operational workspace data can be stored on your Windows computer. Local data remains under the control of that device until you delete it, uninstall it together with its data, restore a backup or choose a feature that sends information to an online service.

Account identity, subscriptions, credits, billing events and selected cloud-enabled features use online services. A feature that needs an AI model, email provider, connected account or other online service sends the information needed to perform that request.

Protect your Windows account, backups and connected email accounts. Anyone with access to your device may be able to access locally stored workspace information.

7. Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:

  • Supabase, which supports account authentication, account records, entitlements and credits;
  • Stripe, which processes payments, billing details, fraud signals and refunds;
  • AI, infrastructure, email and integration providers needed to perform a feature you request;
  • professional advisers, auditors and insurers where reasonably necessary;
  • law enforcement, regulators, courts or other parties where disclosure is legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety; and
  • a buyer or successor if Anivo is involved in a genuine merger, financing, reorganisation or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. International transfers

Anivo is offered globally, and some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom or your country. Where transfer restrictions apply, we use an available lawful safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved contractual clauses or another permitted mechanism.

The provider and transfer route may depend on the feature, account region and service you choose to connect.

9. How long we keep information

We keep account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for restoration, security, disputes or legal compliance. Billing and transaction records may be retained for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention and legal requirements.

Support records are retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and improve support. Security logs and backups are retained on limited, operational schedules. Locally stored workspace data remains on your device until you remove it.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymise it or securely isolate it until deletion is possible.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority.

Send a request from the email address connected to your account to support@anivoapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing it. UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

11. Cookies, communications and security

The website may use essential cookies or browser storage for account sessions, security and preferences. If we add non-essential analytics or advertising technology, we will provide notice and request consent where required.

You can opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe method provided or by emailing support@anivoapp.com. Essential account, billing, security and service messages are not marketing.

We use organisational and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No product or transmission method can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect connected accounts.

12. Business contacts in your workspace

If you use Anivo to collect, review, enrich, export or contact business people, your organisation decides why and how that information is used. You are responsible for identifying a lawful basis, providing privacy information when required, respecting objections and suppression lists, and following the marketing rules that apply to the recipient and country.

Public availability does not remove data-protection obligations. Anivo provides workflow tools, not permission to contact a person.

13. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the product, providers or law changes. We will change the effective date and give additional notice where a change materially affects your rights.
